Has anyone used Custom Art tips with Tia Trio? Just wondering if the sound changes one way or the other.

Any nio-es here? I'm very happy with nio both in terms of aesthetics and sound, very impressive with Hugo, even the Ru6C1F6D01C-30FA-4731-AEED-AEEE5C59C51C.jpeg

P.S : still waiting for my Amp8mk2 to come, so for now 4.4 to 2.5 adapter to the rescue :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Ive got on my U12t... clearly win with seal & comfort. Sonically something between foam (symbio f) and spinfit (treble ext). IMVHO best U can get for universal option.

I did, I think I posted in this thread as well. I was unable to get the CA tips inserted so I never decided whether or not they changed the sound. However, I now have sleeves from ADV so I'm getting practiced at inserting custom shapes (rather than jamming universal tips) into my ears. I may give the Custom Arts tips another try. But not until after I post some listening impressions about the ADV sleeves.

So, my IEMs are to a point where burn-in is complete, and I have a question. Can someone give me a simple explanation of the Apex modules?

What more do you need than the explanation on the website?

The M?? numbering of the APEX modules refers to the isolation you get with each module. MX is 10db, M15 is 15db, and M20 is 20db isolation. The M20 should give you a more bassy, intimate sound, whereas the MX will sound lighter & brighter, with a corresponding wider stage perception.

I mostly use the M15 with the U6t, although when I went on a long-haul flight a couple months ago the U6t with the M20 module was exceptional at blocking out cabin noise. I think you mentioned U6t FTW before, and that is exactly what I thought at the time!!

At home in a generally quiet environment, you might not notice the differences as much, but when there is more ambient noise about you'll be able to tell. APEX is a great feature of these IEMs, allowing you to tune them to your preference or listening environment.
