Very nice suits me to the T.

Much larger sounding than the AK100 especially depth perception...so buttery smooth and lush. Much more detail and weight in the highs......

I still need to have dinner with family but when I get home tonight I will try and post some pictures.

UI is nicer and speedier. Seems to load SDcards faster, but will confirm that when I put in 64 gig card in later.........

BUT

Still no gapless

Listening to Unplugged Eric Clapton and the gaps............

Definitely better sounding than the little brother. Hard to quantify at the moment.

Over $1000, no gapless.....yet anybody with a Sansa with Rockbox can have gapless, for about $35. Granted, I realize they are not going to sound the same, but still.....

Bass and dynamics are rearing it's head ......after about 1 hours continous play. Bass texture is really something to behold for me at the moment. So rounded and resolving......

Very natural sounding, one can listen all day

Wolfson specs clearly state that WM8740 does not support DSD. 8741 and 8742 do:

Any more in depth comparison between AK120 and RWAK100? I couldn't care less for stock AK100. There are indeed moments with particular albums when RWAK100 gets a bit 'nasal' with soundstage. If indeed AK120 grants more 'air', then I am interested.
 
Owning both would be nice. I'd secure my bragging rights for being a collector

. 10800 HDK from that Jaben HK shop what is more or less 1070 EUR. At this point I would rather wait and see how the story evolves, e.g. what happens when Vinnie puts his hands on one and so on.
