Same question:  This new firmware is a  .HEX  file while today I have a   AK1000.SYS  file in the "System" folder ! where do I copy this  .HEX file ?  Do I need to erase the "old"  .SYS  file ?

No erasing anything...
Just put it to the root directory of AK100.
Just as installing some normal firware update.

When you eject the AK100, the hex file will start working automatically, as usually
And you will be surprised with the new UI

Ok, i'd like to confirm - the update works great, the ui is much nicer AND after enabling the gapless THERE IS gapless.

I feel like i won a free ak120 (dont think the extra dac really makes THAt much of a diff anyways)

Trendin, there are AK100 and AK120, but I think A100 with the "Russian patch" deserves to be named AK110))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Shucks! I will have to wait another 2hr 40mins before I can try this new "firmware" because I just started copying 64GB of files to my AK100.

Not quite sonically but gosh it is great having gapless and a faster UI

Sonics has changed................need a little time to A/B, good I have two AK100...........output seems noisier!
 
BTW where do I find the 1.33 firmware?

Really noisier? I have only one AK100 and no Ak120...
