Amazon japan is selling them for 497 AUD which seems to be the price we can find this in Japan and yet in Australia it is 690 AUD. Anyone knows any cheap reliable forwarding services?

Don't be afraid to ask the Australian retailer to match import prices, you'd be surprised at their willingness to lower the price both to support the industry and also to stay competitive.

+1. I receive regular shipments from Tenso for Japanese products and they provide excellent forwarding service at reasonable cost.

Yes. It is sizzling hot. The Tzar 350 is not a good pair with the AK100.

Interesting....    apparently some folks like hot.   But I don't think going full blown silver cable would be wise.

      To each their own though

Anyone seen this?

Apparently FAD has a deal with iriver, they are making what seems to be a higher impedance of their heaven IV with the Astell branding.

This has already been posted somewhere back.

are you saying that somehow there is an IEM entirely made out for AK100?

Quote:
They merely added to the impedance of an existing IEM so the extra output impedance of the AK100 doesn't affect the sound as much.

The IEM is FAD Heaven IV. Nothing is changed except for the AK etching on the housing of the iem.

The impedance remains at 16ohms.

So matching it with the AK 100 would still be inefficient because of the impendance? At least would they package the AK 100 with it ? assuming they are going at it as if its the IEM for your AK 100?

That is why I found such pairing interesting as they seem to have completely ignored the impedance mismatch.

It is a special bundle set that comes with the AK100, the FAD Heaven IV, a 32GB micro SD card as well as 5 coupons that allows you to redeem 5 tracks from e-onkyo website.

I have not tried the FAD Heaven IV with the stock AK100 to make any comment in its sound. However, it seems that iRiver is pretty confident that they sound great together and the impedance is not an issue. If not, they would not have made them into a bundle set.

Thus far, only Fitear 111 has a special edition that is specially tuned for the AK100. Not sure if they have increased its impedance since no data regarding that has been released.
