Are you using some protective film on cups? I'm afraid that is scratch soon.

I believe the es700 & the esw11 to contain Audio Tech latest and best tuned drivers, along with their other top "new" cans.

Hi,

After reading most of this thread i decided to join in. I am looking to buy a new on-ear headphone and am seriously considering the ES700, but i also consider buying the ES500 or the Philips Fidelio M1. I live in europe and can order the ES700 for 110 euro's from japan, which is the same price as the Fidelio M1, the ES500 will cost 78 euro's. So i was wondering if anyone had experience with the ES500 or the Fidelio M1 and can compare these to the ES700.

Kind regards,
Luke

Looking at getting new pads for my ath es700. I've heard that the audio technica esw9 pads or ws55 pads are the 2 to choose from. Could anyone tell me the benefits of getting one over the other? And is one significantly better than the other?

ESW9 are the best in terms of comfort and sound, but are much more expensive.

^+1. The ESW9a pads also give the 700's a much more luxurious feel, lambskin and all!

I just read through all of this and I'm still torn between the esw9 and es700.

Hi,

I just bought DannyBai's pair. They sound awesome, actually I think they're the best headphones I've tried yet lol. I tried Maxx134's first mod and it sounds even better! But the cork mod I thought made it less spacious and had less separation or whatever you call it, but I thought the mids were a tiny bit better. Can't wait for the esw9 pads that are on their way haha
