The most beautiful headphones you know of?

I wouldn't go as far as call them beautiful, but they certainly are shiny.

I am happy with STAX SR-404LE. The "Limited Edition" sounds really nice.

Very interesting thread.

I do not like woodies at all, and I think modded Grados with protruding wooden cups and overly large earpads look expecially silly. It's all a matter of preference, though

I also dislike the futuristic look of the Sennheiser HD 800 and HD 700.

My favorites:

  1. Ultrasone Edition 10
  2. Ultrasone Edition 8
  3. Beyerdynamic T1
  4. old Beyerdynamic DT 440

Utilitarian design is the height of beauty.

Well, not really the most beautiful headphone, but within it's class.

The STAX SR-009 is definitely a standout, just top notch looks and build quality. Awesome, curved aluminum earcups, grills, leather, soft headband - just a masterpiece. Once you hold this thing in your hand you do not want to let it go. Makes the D7000, HD 800, Omega 2, ED10 etc feel (and look) cheap.

Next up would be the R10 for me :) Haven't seen or tried this in real life though...

Yeah the entire 009 assembly is state-of-the-art indeed, shown very well here:

I submit the TH-900.

And the Vektr, although it's from a company of poor repute and more 'cool' than 'beautiful'.

German Maestros, fostex t50rps and AKG 240 studios (with the gold) are my favorite looking headphones. I like '70s and '80s electro-aesthetics.
