Much nicer light on the bottom pic!

You could try the bottom pic from a different angle / perspective so it's less flat - give it a sense of depth and balance.

The top one's nice, but needs something to balance the empty space. What if you took it where the headphones are in the right of frame and then the angle of the corner of the table creates contrast and interest around the emptiness of the blank wall on the left? It may look crappy - just an idea to try.

If that's a functional custom case for the FiiO X5, color me impressed. I am so envious of people who can just craft things like this from thin air!  That's a really nice look, too.

I think it is just vinyl hot printed to make the texture
