First sound test was with my Final D8K Pros as it seemed right to pair a Japanese amp with a Japanese headphone to start off.

I’ve been eyeing of those amps and would love to hear what you think. Have that headphone and spent all day today listening to it today on the Red October with Elrog tubes and mullard metal base gz34… it was nice.

Elrog 300Bs (whether stock or -MOs) are great. Regarding the 394ii, I’m more of a tube amp person but my SS amp experience includes Flux Lab Acoustics FA-22, Chord Anni, Chord TT2, Ferrum Oor + Hypsos, and Flux Lab Acoustics Volot. The 394ii bests them all. Power delivery is effortless but still displays excellent driver control. Soundstage depth and width are realistic but expansive when called for by the track. Very clean and transparent sonics but not dry or clinical at all. I particularly enjoy how it brings out the bass with the Final without it being overblown.

Yes! I use both Final D8000 and Diana Phi with 394ii and very very happy with the Mass Kobo, it enhance what’s already great about the headphone and doesn’t add any flavour in it. My end game amp for sure.

Did anyone tried Susvara with it?

Has anyone heard both Model 433 and 394ii by any chance ? I wonder if 433 is just a trickled down version of it or if there's noticeable differences sound wise.

I'm not planning to add hard to drive monsters to my collection so 433 should be just fine power wise.

433 is a warmer amp, 394 is more technical reference kinda of amp, both are awesome.

Awesome, thank you !

I see that you own one, what's your fav pairing so far within your collection ? How does it do with something that lands more on the warmer side like some ZMF can be ? Nan-7 any good with it ?

433 and ZMF Verité is the best i have heard to date. The Nan7 does very well and if i didn't have the Citadel tube amp, i wouldn't even notice the slight technical improvement (wider soundstage and even better imaging). Symphonium Helios SE is the best i have heard as well. I dont have the meteor anymore and that was on the warm side. I would say that if your phones are very warm it might be a touch to much. I don't have very warm cans. The warmest is probably the HE500 which also goes quite well.
Its a very dynamic amp, punchy with very good sense of air/separation.

Any of you guys heard 394ii side by side with US5? I've got a 394ii on route for demo in a couple of weeks, wondering if it shares traits with US5 and what differs. Really liked US5 for IEM duty but thought I'd try a different flavour instead of re-buying US5....
