Just checked this link, Twister.
"Audiophile poisoning cannot extricate themselves without limits"
"Visible boutique accessories"
"Swedish national Level which without sense capacitance"
"Bigger Thrust and better performance"
Classic, classic, classic...
Everything I ever wanted in a portable ampThough, might have to double check with @peter123
regarding that "Swedish national Level"![]()
It's laborious - isn't it
How are you volume matching Craig? I always wanted to try doing it by measuring voltage - but I don't have the set-up. So for now I just have to stick with an SPL meter.
Man, it's actually the font that's holding me up. The default font is too thin and what I've tried so far is either too short or too thick. Doesn't help that the X5 only reads .ttf format and I'm not buying a font for a custom theme. You're talking about the new X5 Classic theme right?
Craig when you're doing the volume matching - don't use music to calibrate.
Set the first amp at a comfortable level for listening. Then play a 1 kHz constant test tone and measure the SPL. Then play the same tone through the second amp - and adjust volume to match exactly. Recheck - then you know you're volume matched. You use the tones at 1 kHz because its the frequency we are most sensitive to volume. And the tones can give you a constant reading. I generated and downloaded tones from here. I have them on all my DAPs in a folder (500 Hz, 1 kHz and 3 kHz)
