I think someone already tested it and it works, but it may draw more power from your phone, you may need to DIY a separate power and data cable so you can use powerbank to power the DAC/AMP or your phone's battery will run dry in minutes.

My dx50 going mad.. It keeps turning off and on back by itself and sometimes I will need to take out the battery as it hangs at a blue empty screen. Can this be fixed by replacing the battery? I have used it for about 2+ years already. Thanks!

I would suspect that the battery is loose. Try to put some blue tack at the edge of the battery or thin slip of paper to force the contact to touch the battery. Otherwise, perhaps it is time to change the battery

With every strange problem I would first try a factory reset.

Plenty.
 
Make sure to avoid exFAT format - those cards are formatted with it. The DX50 is not always happy with it.
 
So, get a tool to format the card in FAT32 and have fun.

The freeware AOMEI Partition Assistant works for me.  Does everything from transferring an operating system from hard drive to SSD (the free version doesn't work with UEFI, though), to formatting microsd of any size to FAT32.

Hmmm... interesting, I think I will give it a try tonight against SU 1.3.3 @ FLAC-only/IIR off/CPU default @ my modified DX5X.
