The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016

I own the ATH CKR9LTD --- flat EQ on the DX50 and have no hissing issues.

My benchmark for evaluating treble is Eric Clapton's "Let it Grow" from the 461 Ocean Blvd album. If it sound fine with that it's typically all good.

Cheers
The eq is always off but even when there's no music playing you can hear a hiss as soon as you plug in the ath-ckr9 to the dx50, on the dx90 there is no hiss with those iem's

Maybe they're more sensitive than the LTD version

Please update to the latest FW and after the update do a factory reset. If this doesn't work then use the Batch Tool that is on the 1st page of the DX80 thread.

Please do a factory reset after the update. If that doesn't work please do an update using the Batch Tool on the first page of the DX80 thread.

i always do a factory reset after an update..did it a few times..still the same problems..

@Paul:

I cannot believe that the Playlist import issue is still not resolved. How hard can it be to properly read a single tick from the embedded tag and/or from the file name?

Example:

I created a playlist using Foobar2000 with

Eric Clapton - My Father's Eyes

in it.

This playlist can be read and processed (played) by:

Pono Music Plaayer (iRiver)
Sansa
Kodi Media center
Cowon D2
MediaMonkey

What does the DX50 with that entry and fails MISERABLY?

Eric Clapton - My Father`s Eyes

Single tick vs accent graph ... Good grief, this bug is around since version 1.1.3 or so....

While 1.9.5 sounds really nice, I just go back to my dual boot menu and pick rockbox - problem solved....

Cheers.

Sorted my problem, I removed the battery and wiggled the earth pin, left the battery out for a minute, then put it all back together. It has now run for just under 12 hours with no problems.

Our new Firmware release for the DX50: 1.9.5

Improvements with this firmware:

1. Support for ISO files.
2. In Directory view, allows the pressing of the thumbnail of folders for additional features.
3. Updated FLAC decode engine.
4. Updated WAV decode engine.
5. Updated DSD decode engine.

Good to see a new firmware and support for the DX50, though I think I've possibly lost mine somewhere on my travels recently...

Was there a problem before updating to 1.9.5? Have you tried reverting to 1.9.4?

I was using 1.5.0 and 1.6.0 and sound unlocked versions without these issues...i did try the 1.9.4 before when it was just released, but i went back to sound unlocked because my dx50 kept restarting and the battery dies after only using it a few minutes on version 1.9.4...

when on 1.9.4 it would occasionally shut down mid song, after updating to 1.9.5 it was more frequent. I used the batch tool to reinstall firmware and now it restarts rather than shut down

Did you use the batch tool for loading 1.9.4? If it does it after using the BT and 1.9.4 then we need to service your DX50.
