re the gapless ...

I'm sure it's been mentioned many times, but after upgrading to 1.2.8 I was experiencing a number of quirks, including some issues with gapless new tracks not starting etc.  As soon as I did a factory reset and put my tracks back on again, my problems all seemed to magically go away.

Might be worth a try ...

Thanks, I guess I have to wait until weekend to get one. I hope I won't run out of stock when I go there.

From what i saw yesterday they still have about 5 to 8 pcs.. left... BTW i see that you are using Leckerton UHA-6S MKII .. u order it oversea? How does it compare to the HO of the DX50?

I'll jump in.

I found the Dx50 a little bright on its own and maybe lacking a little depth. Interestingly though I felt that the GS voyager that I had didn't add enough value (although it did when paired with the Ipod 5.5 classic) and so I sold that and got the Leckerton instead. What attracted me to the Leckerton I bought was that it came with OPA627 OPamps which are felt to be quite 'tubey' by nature, which I like. I also wanted to try the Coaxial out from the Dx50, which I tend not to use.

I have found the Leckerton to add warmth, greater soundstage. For me it makes the Dx50 'sing' and I am very happy with it.

It is a well crafted machine - it feels like a quality product - and pairs well with both triple Fi 10s ( I use an impedance adapter as otherwise the volume hardly gets off zero ) and also my Sennheiser HD600s. As an extra bonus, it will apparently also take the digital out of an iPhone/IPad running ios7 into its DAC input. It is a very versatile DAC/Amp.

I got mine second hand off EbayUK.

According to the DX90 thread, the release will be next week. Any speculations about a reduced price on the DX50, buy now or wait for a saving?

I think no discount will be given cause dx90 is a different tier dap.
But I would definitely suggest you to wait until the dx90 launch and you can decide which player have a better c/p ratio.

Yes I ordered it direct from Leckerton. So many things to like about it compared to HO. But to make it short it's much better. You'll get the most of DX50 turning the volume all the way up and let the amping duties to an external amp.

Today, I tried the new SanDisk 128GB card (formatted to FAT32 with guiformat.exe) in the AK100 and the Fiio X3. Both work fine. Tomorrow, I'll try the DX50.
