So I haven't been keeping up with the thread, but what ended up being the best case for the DX50? I'm looking for something minimal and non-bulky.

iBasso has a silicon case that works fine.

That's what I was thinking, but has anyone tried this case yet? I saw one member post pictures, but I haven't seen it again and there was no feedback.

For those looking for a more protective case that doesn't break the bank, look here:

http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-CASE-LEATHER-PREMIUM-BROWN/dp/B00158OYQW/

Someone here recommended it a while back. Fits perfectly and even has pockets for microSD cards. Feels very high quality. It's easy to toggle volume when it's closed, but you do have to open it up to change tracks or pause.

I have to say again, I am really appreciating this UI. Of all the daps I have here, it is the easiest and fastest.

Also the 4400mA battery is working out well. The silicon case works perfectly to hold it and there are absolutely no problems with it or charging but it does take longer to charge, as would be expected with double the mA. Also I find that my Samsung Galaxy S4 adapter charges the fastest. Must have a higher ampere rating/output.

A mini update on the dx50 after a couple of months.

Things I love about it:

1. Its musicality. The fact it plays most types of music files.
2. Its UI. The mix of the physical buttons and touch screen. There is something very appealing in flicking at your list of CDs and seeing them continue to roll up/down the screen, long after your finger has left the screen.

Its idiosyncrasies.

When you remove the jack from the LO, the player stops and when you put a jack back in, it starts playing again. But this is NOT the case with HO.

When you first turn the machine on the battery indicator shows zero and then after a couple of seconds fills up to the correct amount. But there is always a slight concern just in case the battery really is low -:)

I have been using shuffle on all songs for the past few days, not something that I normally do, but for a change it has been fun. This really chews up battery life. After 6 hours, the battery indicator is almost zero. It froze on me once on FW 1.28, but a quick press of the on/off button reset the machine.

Have upgraded my commuting IEMs from UE Super fi Pros to UE Super fi 10 Triple Pros. Decided to keep the same sound signature, as I had had the Super fi Pros for around 5 years and I am loving the extra detail, clarity & soundstage. Not sure if there is extra sibilance compared to my Super Fis with cymbals for example. Both sets of IEMs are being amped.

Mind showing pics of the 4400mah battery inside the silicon case (back view)??  thanks

Are you sure you got 1.2.8 ?
What you describe is what it did in 1.2.6 where gapless really wasn't gapless but rather a crossfade. In 1.2.7 and 1.2.8 gapless works perfect and I mostly listen to classical recordings where this is essential

Yep it says 1.2.8 on the machine... Maybe i give it another listen...hmmm
edit: yea after some listen it seems like the playing track is missing 1 second.... the rite of spring's 11 bass drum hits turned to 9...

Please, help me people! lol

Anyone know what cable I need to connect my new ifi iDSD to iBasso DX50?
If is possible, post a photo of the cable.

I really appreciate. Thanks.
