Version 1.9.2. How do they assign the numbers to the different versions I wonder? I'm using Rockbox at the moment but I'll have to install it and see how it sounds.

It includes their own internal releases, so this will be the twelfth release since 1.80 or something along those lines.

It's the best it has been to my ears but still not perfect and  it's still showing some of my tracks as being 24 bit when they aren't

Just installed 1.9.2 and having a listen. Sounds very good. Will test more on the dog walk tomorrow as that is probably the harshest treatment my DX50 gets.

Me too just upgraded my firmware to 1.92.... my harshest treatment will be my train ride to and fro from work... will report back... sounds good on initial impressions...

Installed v1.9.2. listened for no more than 5 minutes and my DX50 froze up, music stopped playing and everything became unresponsive. Hard to do a hard reset. I really wish you would get this right iBasso, its not like you haven't been trying to perfect it for a while.

I've dropped back to 1.6.0. While it's not completely fault free (self resets sometimes) it pretty close and sounds best with my Grado 325e. I think the most stable firmware I used was v1.2.8 which I used for a long time. I don't mean to be harsh on iBasso, but when they announce they've patched the previous bugs and I have a problem occur within 5 minutes, it's a little frustrating. I'm sure they'll get it right.

nope you was right more spacious especially on high instrument
 
but there a lack on this firmware separation between bass and micro detail was not good
1.8.0 was to centered if not wrong.

Yes, I did the right procedure. Its ok, I will use v1.6.0 for now.

Get excited~! DX 50 Firmware 1.9.2 is out! Haven't tried it though.. Just sharing!

Yep, just a normal 3.5mm jack. Same goes with the USB. I bought a used unit and the seller said that it was about a year and a half old. Is it possible that time has worn away the jacks? Would iBasso be able to "repair" it?
