Yep, best thing to do is to forgo the home kit and just bite the bullet and get professional impressions. Your chances of your IEM's turning good are higher with professional impressions

ok so the amp thing is settled..

what about the diff with the superfreq and the shows? both triple driver.. superfreq can be upgraded to the braided wires.. so what's left that is different? both are custom fit as well aren't they?

hmmm unless the circuitry is different to produce a different sound?

Yes slowth, the FreQ Show has a new crossover, which is basically a device / circuit that directs different frequencies into different balanced armatures. That's how they can have a bass, mid, and high driver like floor speakers.

Also, the new FreQ Show has detachable cables and from first impressions, much better build quality.

I'm officially VERY tempted...

I don't really like the FreQ logo there tho.. anyone know how much the customized plates would cost?

Does that mean I shouldn't even consider the livewires and just go for these... heh... or even forego waiting for the westone 3s.. ah..

So I take it that you gotta email todd your order to order these? I don't like the look of the FreQ logo either and would rather it not being there tbh.

Yes, it certainly looks like my Westone ES cable, and it looks like the same cable also used in the Livewires
