Well, my CK7's have that tubing too, and theres like grime and dirt in em, after bout a year. I know this isnt much of a big deal, especially since considering the wires are detachable but just thought I'd bring it up. No offence.

I guess it won't be too bad!

Good point - I have not seen those before - maybe we are making a little bit too big deal of this

Yes, buy now before the price increases. You also have to factor in the impressions, which are ~$50.

I thing that the recessed has to do with the size of your ears. My ears are very small and the coponents seem to barely fit in there.
I belive that the other person is asian and cuturally, they also are know for small ears. Take this into consideration.

FreQonline.com is updated now

But this is a bit weird.. I thought FreQShow was the triple driver design, right?

Quote:

With its three-driver/speaker design, it has separated all of the low, mid and high frequencies for you. This has the best sound reproduction that we offer at this time.

Specs:

Noise Isolation: 26db
Sensitivity: 122 dB @ 1mw
Frequency response: 20 Hz -18 kHz
Impedance: 21 ohms
Driver: Three balanced armature drivers with a passive three-way crossover

But on this page...
Custom Fit Earbuds - The FreQ - Music Makers

Quote:

The FreQ Show – Mid-level: Dual speaker design (Click Here)

Pricing is US$250 for the FreQShow.. which is only 10 bucks more than the SuperFREQ?!

So which is it?

Also interesting that there is a choice of crossover

Quote:

Regardless of the model purchased, the Music Makers line utilizes a braided detachable cable that is designed for an “Over the Ear” fit using a memory wire. It also uses a different 3-way crossover than our Music Lovers line. It has been specifically designed for use with amplifiers for musician’s monitor packs along with sound engineers using mixing boards. This line provides a very “warm” feeling to the music and is not as sensitive as our Music Lovers line. Seeing how Mp3 and DVD players do not put as much amps, this line can really hold up under the most demanding conditions.

Just because you may not be a musician, does not mean that you still can’t enjoy the benefits of Music Makers line. We will also allow you to choose the crossover you would like to use. If you are only using your FreQs for recreational use, such as your Mp3 or DVD player, we recommend using the Music Lovers crossover. This way, you will get the upgraded cable and detachable technology, but still maintain the sound signature you may be looking for.

Which would you guys choose?

If this is true, that you can mix/match the individual components and specify what type of crossover you like, that makes the FreQs "trully" customizable. So if you don't mind the non-detachable cable, you can just pay the $190 for the SuperFreQs, pay the $20 for the optional braided cable, pick the Music Maker's crossover, and you would have the "sound" of the Music Maker's on the "cheap"

If the MM crossover reduces the midrange emphasis, I'd be very tempted :P

I find my SuperFREQs more comfortable. It is smaller overall (than the UE11s) and has slightly better isolation. And I like the braided cables. ps didn't FREQ say we can send the SuperFREQs back to change the wires?

ps Is there an early adopter's discount for SuperFREQ owners to switch to FREQ Show?
biggrin.gif
Was the first in Singapore to get them. Got my impressions done in January. Wonder if they can use it for the FREQ of nature?

That is really interesting. You get more comfort and better isolation from the SuperFreQs. Does that mean that the UE11's are a "tad" small?

Todd mentioned some special discounts for early buyers, but he did not mention to me anything specific. I wonder how willing would the FreQ be to switch cross-over on existing units

Yes, sending it back to change to the braided wires will cost $20 plus shipping to Singapore.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by SuperFreQ --> FreQ of Nature? Do you mean SuperFreQ --> FreQ Show?
