I've just received my SuperFreQ today. Straight out of the box, SuperFreQ does do the job GREAT. I mean, it's not muddy like the three driver SE530, not AT ALL. ...All right.......... If the only concern is SQ.......... I would suggest SuperFreQ. Really, they are good. It beats Universal fit Triple Drivers like TF10 pro or SE530. It betters Livewires slightly in SQ. |

From the pictures of other people's SuperFreQs here, they all seem to have the inner shell covered when in ear, but some of mine can still be seen when in the ear. It's either I'm not putting them in properly, or my ears were just designed in a way that the FreQs had to be made like that. |

In most vocals, the mids are a bit too forward for my liking and they mask some high details. I get a more balanced sound from the tf10p. |

Just to clarify, using a ER4P/S converter would get rid of the hiss, and lower the minimal volume of my mp3 player, right? Would using the converter adversely affect the SQ of the FreQs? |

With this two string symphony, I think I'd withdraw previous opinion that SuperFreQ is better than LW on highs. They are actually two kind of great treble. They both got clarity but the signature is really difference rather than better or not. And it's hard to decide which one I like better @@. Though on this field, they are both better than TF10 pro in MY OPINION ONLY. This is very subjective really. If I must put some words on both of this two IEM, I'd say that LW is more prone to analytical sound and SuperFreQ emotional. LW would be better for monitor purpose, no wonder the Super Idols are using lots of them. But as for normal music lover, I'd say that SuperFreQ wins somehow marginally, with that more emotional like sound. You could tell their difference immediately, and somehow My first impression is always that the SuperFreQ got an upper hand on the first sight. But after a few moment longer listening, the balance would somehow restored to par status. Conclusion so far is that both of them would not be out of my favor really.... |
