The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread

Number of holes matters? Mine only has 2

It matters to some extent. The original design of the MH335DW has 3 holes with each one being dedicated to a driver, except for the dual lows (the 2 biggest ones). However some people might have very small ear canals that cannot accommodate 3 separate holes at the same time, thus FitEar has to group 2 tubes out of 3 into one before routing them out leaving only 2 holes visible at the canal tip as in your case.

Does this have any audible effect on the sound? I don't know. Theoretically it does, yet I'm sure FitEar will try to improvise so that the sound of any pair leaving their door matches the target sound of the original design.

DIY my own 8 core cable for my 333

The cable from Plusound - 26awg occ copper + 28awg occ silver plated and the pin is from music Heaven

The surprise is the sound is not as worm as what copper cable tend to sound :)

Cheers

Hi

I am in the market for a pair of FitEars and looking to get people's impressions. I am considering the 334s or 335DWs. But how are the 333s?

To my ear 333 is more balance , fast and a little agressive compare to 334 and 435 ( tg334 and 435 are base on memory ) i also heard that the 333 is like 435 without sub woofer and the vocal of 333 is thicker but 435 is smoother ( more relax )

I am suck in describing sound :frowning2: hope other member with better experince come in to help :)

Thanks for your comments. Every little bit helps. I'll be demoing a lot of them in two weeks at the headphone festival here in Tokyo.

same thoughts. i tried only demos.

333 sounds sharp on vocal. treble is very good, more spacious on the upper mids.

Rooth seems to have a LS10 also.

L10 was a limited run. No longer available is my understanding.

Any follow-up on the MH335DW Studio Reference thing? I'm reading his Twitter, and apart from the food talk, I can't find any other mentions on it.

Yes, 30 mins ago . Best of luck in translation, I'm doing the same thing.

Basically the network is tweaked, together with swapping the silicone tube of the tweeter with a titanium one, meaning there's no need to break the shell.
