The FitEar CIEM Impressions Thread

The Air2 sound doesn't have the same as the Titan too though. (pulling out my notes from the Fujiya Autumn Festival in early Nov).

Here are my notes (please note, VERY raw - typed it in my iPhone notes in realtime whilst listening) from some comparisons :-
Air 2 vs Air
Air2 is more balanced. Air is more wooly to middish. Air closer sounding. Air is a little more sensitive/efficient.

Air2 vs Titan (Edit, the Titans here are the universal demos, not my CIEM - so this is a Air2 demo to Titan demo comparison)
Air2 has more bass than the Titan. Titan sounds more airy and neutralish.
Air2 has more warmth and more depth to the vocals - trending closer towards the MH335DW-SR but not as warm/deep.

i am planning to order a 335, but i was wondering if i can order a 4.4 plug instead of the original 3.5?
it is really a waste that my gear is 4.4mm main.

ii will try, but probably they won't arrange. As Fitear's 335 is made to fit, just wonder why they don't customer to choose, at least what jack they want, right!

Just my 2 yen worth but I think you've missed the point of FitEar, and you're expectations are too high.

Anyhow, bottom line is if you want 4.4mm, then order your 335 and 006/007. My FitEar Titan didn't even come with -any- cables, but that's no show stopper for me to buy them and enjoy their sound.

i would prefer they offer an upgrade for special plug, at least not a waste. in fact, not all people use 3.5, of course not all people use 2.5, 4.4,.....

Have to side with choisan on this. I asked Fitear about it before. Not possible. Very Japanese!

They already make all those cables so it is weird. But I'm a Westerner and one thing I learned is Japan is Japan :)

Personally I hate waste. Spending money doesn't bother me but buying something that ends up useless does. That's my quirk. Getting a cable I wouldn't like or use while Fitear makes another one, same price, that I find great is something that that irks me!

This is my intention, i don't mind it is a hard bundled. WIth that said, i can at least to choose what size of phone jack that my gear would nicely match.
I would rather the cable unbundled.

I got my FitEar mh334 a couple of weeks back and I loved the sound. Nice treble extension without being sibilant. Lovely bass and mids too. The fit was perfect. Just went to Jaben to try the Monet 17, Aya & KL Ref. Love the Monet best but the treble is sparkly. It’s like a mh334 with a sparkly treble. Priced same as the mh334. KL Ref is a bit disappointing. It’s airy but kind of hollow compared to the Monet. Maybe it’s the reference tuning kind of sound. Not musical. The Aya is ok, prefer the Monet though.

@AnakChan ; any sound difference? The Air2 is universal shell?
Slight but noticeable difference. The Air2 is s tad warmer/mustier but the signature is unmistakably a derivative of the Titan.

One strange thing is that the Air 2 sounds a little “cleaner” than my Titan that it has made noticed if I’m getting a little distortion or not. I wonder if I should get FitEar to get this looked at a little closer, or if this is a side effect of having a solid titanium shell vs acrylic.
