I've got Sony MDR-1 RBT MK2 working well with the X3 II wired of course, however my other set, the Oppo PM-3 is in another league when it comes to detail and clarity. Budget permitting, I would rather stretch and go Oppo...

Spend an extra $50 and get the Oppo PM-3. Portable planar magnetic and top quality build.

He could.  But, the Sony MDR-1A that he found for 175 dollars are a really good deal!

I think they sometimes do but I'm not sure on what basis they decide whether or not to do so.

They do random checks.
If there is something unusual on the 'X-ray" or the dog scratches its ear next to the parcel, they check it closer.

Lmao

Does anyone have the X3ii as a media player to a Modi 2 Uber as dac? Is it possible to bypass to X3ii's internal dac? Which cable would I use? Thanks!

I believe the X3 can't do a digital out.

Mine can.

You have to use the supplied adapter with the 4-pole plug, from there a mono RCA cable (or one channel of a stereo RCA cable) to the DAC. Take care to set the multifunction output to «digital» (in the system menue).

I don.t think that i could have find the oppos at only 50 usd more than sonys. I saw them on amazon at 400 usd and local (romanian) at arround 550.
Ussualy, I prefer to get things from here or sometimes from amazon uk. It.s easier with guaranty..returns etc..
I know that most of the times US market is the cheapest, but..
