The car mount should be universal with 17mm ball joint socket

So you can attach either a suction cup base or air-vent mount or whatever other mount you would like to use (or to re-use), similar to smartphone car mounts.  As a matter of fact, would be good to slide out the socket plate from the back of the X1 holder to attach to armband holder, make it totally modular, something similar to Seidio Quest mounting system  http://www.seidioonline.com/Articles.asp?ID=293

Why not something that fits the cupholder? (I do not own a car, btw.)

Below is the prototype of the car stand for X1, but the question is how many people will need it to play high resolution music in car. so we need your feedback them we can go ahead.

to make this stand we will spend some money to make a plastic tooling mold so the quantity is quite important to us.
it looks OK but I don't like how the cable is on top of the player, it looks like it will get in the way

Maybe if the stand itself plugged into the Jack on top, and you plug your own aux cable into the stand

I think that would be very cool

As an idea for a case for the X1 (or really any DAP), what about a case that goes on the belt? One where you still have control of all the buttons, but still secure (kinda like a holster for a handgun).

No I didn't think this one all the way through yet, but it seems like a decent idea. I do some biking, and having my iPod in my pocket can be annoying, but on the belt it might be more comfortable? I bike in normal pants, not a bunny suit.

Either that or have support for iPhone/Android 3 button remotes. Up and Down can have track forward and track back, then if you press the middle call button, it switches the up and down button to Volume Up and Down. Would be awesome feature!

Middle is usually play/pause. Double-click middle is next track and triple-click is previous track. At least that's how the Apple ones work.

Wait for X7 to support this.

does it take a while to read the sdcard when new songs added?
this is annoying in the sansa clip for instance.

not, you can play the music by folder play and it will not take time to do that. but if you want to play by artist, album, you may need to updated the music library first. but it is quite fast .

we will make some Line out cable for X1 and the new DAP, DAC/AMP... which is use the micro USB so you have not problem to connect the X1 to your car audio from the bottom.

No - it's very fast. On another note, this thing pairs surprisingly well with my UM Miracles - no joke!
