I wonder if HFM "open box" items are actually new, and just a clever way to sell them for cheaper. They sure do have a lot of "open box" items for sale! I've had a couple open box items from them and they looked brand new to me

It makes sense, because to my knowledge the he-6 isn't made anymore, so how they have open box units is anyone's guess. I wonder if they made an error and meant to have them as an he6se.

Same thing with the HE-5, which only came with wooden ear cups. Only the HE-5se had plastic ear cups.

Yeah, I bought Ananda Stealths from them "open box" and it appeared the box had never been opened. It still had the Chinese factory seal intact across the flaps. Didn't look like they had ever been used in any way, which was fine with me!

I posted this before, but it is applicable again. Adorama took 21 TWENTY ONE days to refund my money on a pair of these AFTER they had received them back. Never again will I shop there! YMMV of course..... Oh, and I returned them for just that reason.
