Nice Find... I just ordered them... I have the shure se215's and se535's with balanced and
unbalanced cables so the mmcx connector on the ER3XR sealed the deal for me...:L3000:

If they use the same connector as the er4sr/xr, it is an extended MMCX and you will have to modify your shure cables for it to work.

Due to their more budget pricing, I would like to try the ER3XR. I have heard their sound signature is very close to the ER4 with a 20 or 23 OHM resistor inline with the ER3. If that is true, does anyone have a link to a recommended resistor to buy? It sounds like fun to be able to have 2 different sound sigs of both in one IEM to play with. I am not sure what it would look like? I suppose some type of adaptor that has a female 3.5mm on one end to a male 3.5mm? Hopefully something that is plug and play.

TIA

Maybe these?

You might want to research whether the mmcx cables work with the Etys. I have the ER4XR and the connector has a weird little notch that requires a special mmcx.

Been looking to replace my HF5's which were lost and your post led me to these...ER3XR's for $107

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076652HPH

PS - if you're not a fan of Active Noise Cancellation, these do the trick passively but you have to be ok with the 'fit'
Got them...great sound! Used to wear the HF5's on the plane and these should do nicely once we start flying again.

FWIW...if you don't like the included eartips, Westone STAR Silicone tips work very well for me and don't require the deep insertion of the triple flanges

Yikes... Hopefully they will work without issue... I like the simple fact that the cables are replaceable though...

Speaking of ety cables, if anyone can direct me to a replacement cable for the er2xr that's 8-10 ft in length i'd be quite thankful. Looked around a bit w/ no luck.

Try asking on the cable threads if you haven't already, but I suspect your best options will end up being either just getting an extension cable or going ot a custom cablemaker (unsure about the parts situation for those new type ety mmcx connectors).

Hey friends, please don't forbear to post if the Drop Koss esp 95x goes on discount again. After much deliberation and research I've decided it could be my poor man's endgame for home listening. I know $450 is good but I'm finding it hard to wrench that out of my wallet knowing they've gone for $400 :^}.
TIA
edit: just so this is a more productive post :)
