According to one answer on Newegg

I believe the /27 is the 2014 model, and 00 is the original 2013 model. Specifications are identical, however. 27 is the US model, and 00 is the original international model. There is no difference.

and someone else said

The l2b0/27 has a mike. The l2b0 does not have a mike.

I realize this is not at all headphone related, but what's better while listening to music than a good cup of tea? A killer deal from my favorite tea store:

LOXJIE P20 Full Balance Tube Amplifier Headphone Power Amplifier

Amazon.com has new units at $95 after 5% coupon (black or red).
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H5JLD2Q

They also have open box / used versions for $69.99. I ordered a "Used - Like New" unit from Audio Center, fulfilled by Amazon. The unit I received had no visible defects and appears to function perfectly. It adds just a touch of warmth to the sound in my opinion. I found that the single ended output starts to distort more than I liked at higher volumes. However, the balanced output sounds great to me at the volumes I typically listen to.

If you are open to buying used/open box, this seems like a decent deal to try out this interesting little amp. I think it makes a perfect compliment to my ADI-2 DAC / Drop THX 789 combo.

As of this posting, they seem to have six red units available at that price and more in black.

for those of you that have American Airlines miles, you can earn miles when you buy stuff at many stores.
  1. Sign up at https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com
  2. Go to the shipping portal, then go to drop (or other stores). You can set up favorites at the portal to make it easier.
  3. Even easier, this Chrome plugin will alert you when you are on a site that will earn you miles
    1. AAdvantage eShopping℠ button
hope this helps. If anything, if you have some miles and don't fly often, using the shopping portal earns you miles, which keeps your existing miles from expiring.

Stores on the list folks here might shop at
  1. MonoPrice
  2. Drop
  3. Adorama
  4. BestBuy
  5. Costco
  6. Overstock
  7. Walmart
  8. BJs
  9. Abt Electronics
  10. World Wide Stereo
  11. Microsoft store
  12. MacMall
  13. Sam's club
  14. Apple Store
  15. Dell Home
  16. Office Depot
