Yep, fit issues can make these a bust. However, I found that Double Flange ear tips fixed the fit issue for me...

Sadly correct.  I had hoped the western version was the IE equivalent of a JBL 100 and that the eastern were classic KLH clones... unfortunately not the case.  Perhaps my demographic will first see this attempted in hearing aids.
