Thanks for your impressions. I love the DT-1770, and I know this won't be as good, but it does sound like a good deal if you like that sound.

My pleasure!

ClassyU strikes again (via Newegg)

Beyerdynamic DT-770 PRO 250 Ohm Studio Headphones

$109.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA7NT4SU1790

warning: probably no warranty, but you would need to validate with beyerdynamic.

Out of curiosity, which DT-770 is considered the best? I know each version sounds a bit different (32/80/25Ohm), but I have come to enjoy the Beyer house sound.

Unless you listen to them side by side, have really sensitive and trained ears, and try really hard, you probably will not detect much difference. You are better off matching them to your gear. If you have an OTL tube amp, like a Crack, get the 250. If you have a very powerful amp, like the Joti fro Schiit, the 250 might be better. For your average headphone amp or receiver, the 80 if probably good. For a less powerful amp, like a phone, the 32.

Creative has a site wide 25% Savings code: LABOR25 through the 11th.

This is a good deal on some items that are not often discounted like the  E1, E3, E5, E7 DAC Amps.

On other items like the classic Aurvana Live! headphones it only drops them to $52.50 which is a couple bucks above the current Amazon price.....

HOWEVER, there are some bundle discount offers that appear automatically on checkout with some items.  In this case, you can get the E1 DAC Amp ($50 on Amazon) for $18.74 if purchased with the Aurvana LIVE!   Put the Aurvana in the cart first, and the code, and the bundled discounts offers appear as options in the cart.

Similar bundle discounts show up with the E7s  (the passive speakers are $97 after discount) and some of the bluetooth speakers.

The Syllable D900 is on sale on Newegg right now. I hear that they are a pain to pair and sound horrible, which is probably the reason for the price change. Better snatch them up before they're all gone.
