The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

just got my senn 650's today that were from the deal someone posted here. the clamp is much greater than i thought it would be but that should loosen up after awhile. for 284 usd it isnt a bad deal plus its been a long time since i listed to traditional drivers. so used to planar it's refreshing

there's lots of discussion about how to reduce the clamp. Bottom line, it can be done, but be very carful as the center of the headband is plastic (I think). you can google or teach head-fi if you want more info.

Very interested in Crack. Is it possible to convert to 240v instead?

I was just going to post this deal you beat me too it.

It's even better than the Adorama deal from a few days ago but only if you shop at Newegg frequently. Also not having to deal with rebates is a plus.

Edit: forgot to quote. I'm referencing the post directly above mine.

A Newegg Shell Shocker today, the Philips Fidelio F1/27 lightweight on ear phones for $39.

Appears to be a good price, they were released at CES2015 for $200, and Amazon tracking shows they maintained the $200ish price for the most part til June 2016 when they rapidly dropped. First to $80 & now $50 on Amazon with some of the 19 user reviews raves, and others not.

Aluminum cups, replaceable cable, 40mm drivers (if its the classic Philips 40mm, a very good driver), bass reflex closed back(??) and the "Hi-Res Audio" label which at least adds bling.  Retail prices are all over the place but $40 seems the lowest so far.  Anyone own these? Appears not many sold at $200.

Is that a 3.5mm cable input on the cup?

I think so. I don't think any of the Fidelio line used a 2.5mm plug.

I took a chance on them. Thanks for sharing the deal.
