Not 20 minutes after making my first purchase on Jet, I received a telemarketing call on my cellphone. Same number attached to my account.

Coincidence, probably? BUT, you've been warned.

I have my Jet coupon, and am intrigued by the Yamaha EPH that I dearly miss.

I need to check out their selection

Thanks for the tip!

That is a spectacular deal for the EPH. They play way above their price range. Go for it!

Amazon listed the following under the product description of the HD 600:

Item Under Review

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)
We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

In case anyone bought the HD 600 bundle posted here a couple weeks ago or were considering buying the HD 600 on Amazon, just keep a look out for updates about this.

Did anyone jump on that DT1770 Pro deal Amazon had a few weeks ago?

Also FocusCamera has the DT235 for $20 shipped but for $5 more you can get it on Amazon Prime: http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT-235-Headphone-Black/dp/B00198BY48

Yeah. It really was an amazing deal.

I almost pulled the trigger, but couldn't justify buying that when I'm interested in the TH-900.

You could just purchase the Fostex TH600 if you want something that sounds like the TH900.

And I could purchase the TH-X00 as well for much less.

But from having owned the TH-600 and extensive auditions with the TH-900, the latter is an improvement in all the fronts that strike my fancy.

I didn't feel comfortable purchasing the Yamahas from Jet. They seem to use marketplace sellers and are not themselves authorized retailers of anything they sell.

Did anyone grab the Yamahas and confirm they were legit?

I pretty much have the same vibe. That's why I recommended not waiving the free return. It's still "sold" by Jet so should be eligible with the 30-return window if something wrong happens.

A much cheaper option is the miniDSP UMIK-1 USB Measurement Calibrated Microphone: http://www.amazon.com/miniDSP-UMIK-1-Measurement-Calibrated-Microphone/dp/B00N4Q25R8. Works with REW, the free room calibration software that is very popular among home audio enthusiasts: http://www.roomeqwizard.com/

I love a good deal, but I'd rather not go through the whole "is my headphone real or not?" thing again.

I really want to give Jet.com a try, and to be fair, their customer service rep assured me they would resolve the issue in the event I received a counterfeit item. I just didn't think it was worth the effort to save $20.

If anyone has had good experiences with them, please share. :)
