I'm in no position to criticize, but first you said you like the $90 Fiio/Dunu iems more than anything under $1000. I also know a lot of people are down on the HD700s.

Just saying you are a free-thinker, we need more of them.

Nothing wrong with the HD700's.  They have a sound signature like any other headphone.  Some like them and some don't.  They are well made and are very comfortable.  Also easy to drive.

I said I like them more than any of the universal IEM's under $1000 that I've tried. If I were including full-sized headphones or CIEMs, that would be a totally different ballgame. I usually put a lot of detail into my posts, so you have to read very carefully. Thank you for the compliment. I do appreciate it.

Sorry... XD. There was that little misunderstanding between me and someone on something I had said that pulled my post out of eye shot within the first hour. I guess I am just excited to get them at a good price is all.
