I disagree with the bass, remove the foam and presto, super tight, and pronounced bass. Not nearly as much impact as my he-4, but the attack is there and superior to the hd800. Not looking forward to returning my loaners to their owner...

Hmm, maybe I should try taking the foam pads off.  I seriously don't think there is a better headphone for the price than the ESP950.

Oh no, the 6 are still better in many ways - tighter and faster, but they're only at their best with my LAu and almost as good with the mj. The primes are just usable with more amps and waaaaay comfy. Which is what i was looking for. While sq is ultimately better overall with the he6, the primes would have gotten my vote considering the price difference. But that's just me.

I didn't say they're equal, the HE-6 with Master 9, my default amp for them, is sublime, but they are in the same listening class (560s have smoother treble). Both are fantastic.

Check Parts Connexion (Canada) - www.partsconnexion.com.

They have the Burson Conductor SL 9018 or 1793 for 1/2 off.  You could probably contact them about other Burson deals as well.

Has anyone seen any deals on headphone amps??

Looking for something like a $1000 amp at half price.

Solid state or tubes are OK but tube only if single tube (I have many tubes but don't know which are matched.)

How do I get the $260 price for the HD600?  No mention of any coupons for that.

Sorry, it appears that code doesn't work with the HD600s anymore. I posted the question on TechBargins, so there may be an answer there at some point

So I got my Sennheiser Momentums Over ears yesterday. For 120 bucks, open box- Like new, not bad at all. Beats the on ear versions easily at this price as well. They dont look refurbished anyways, cables were nicely still tied up, headphones still have the plastic covering on the earcups. Case also comes all clean, no sign of lint or anything. Sounds good out of the box.

I guess ill be using these now that CA is having cold days, should keep my ear warm as well lol

Over ears make great earmuffs, had the cute barrista at a local coffee shop complement me on my earmuffs once when I stopped in while walking the dog. I was wearing Senn 650's, which surprised her when I showed her. Was fun...

You were wearing your 650s while walking your dog? lol well at least the cute barrista made a good compliment instead of giving you a funny weird look lol

Hey, the 650s ain't that bad looking (in the cold, really do have a resemblance to ear muffs). I went out on dog walk today with the Shure 1540, with extra large pads, now THAT is a geeky look. Hey, I'm old enough not to care too much, not getting a 19 year old cute barrista to follow me home because of the really cool headphones I'm wearing, and I don't think my wife would care for it too much if I did. :)

Thanks!  I have been considering them.  Would be easier to do if I knew I would like the 1793 as much as the 9018.  I've been intrigued with the sabre chips for quite a while but I've never heard one.

Beware. I just double-checked and Nwavguy identified Burson as one of the companies that design by ear. (E.g. anti-science folk,  basically headphone amp designed by the religious at heart.)

If that's fine with you then nevermind please, only trying to help a brother out.
