Beats have the soundstage and imaging of HD800, booming bass of LCD3, clarity and speed of T1, Airy and naturalness of Stax 009, coherence and liquidity of HE6, and overall timeless sound of Orpheus 90... Consequently, HD800+LCD3+T1+Stax009+Orpheus90 < Beats:>>> Beats is the best of the best headphones ever created and every audiophiles should stop arguing about other brands and wrap yourself a pair of Beats by Dr.Dre.

And they have this "b" on them that lets others know you know what great sound is all about.  Also, Beats come in purple.

Everything said before this post didn't make sense, but with the 'b' and the purple I'm sold.

Are these better than the Dre Beats?

Either way, its Yamaha, they should be better, but I alread bought some M50s, for 100, the Yamahas Pro seem like a great deal for Beginners into the world of audio. i think lol

That depends on what you're after. A lot of people are giving beats **** because they don't like them. That's okay. But for those who like beats, they're going to be disappointed with all the head-fi FOTMs they'd be recommended. If someone has auditioned beats and some alternatives, and still likes beats better, then chances are that beats are the way to go for him.
