I'm gonna call it now. There will be a fire sale soon on the ue900. It's been discontinued so I'm going to hold out. Newly announced um3x?

Tempting, but the newly announced UM 3x (even though more exp) just shifted my gaze for the moment lol.

I think he's referring to the UM30... which was announced a while ago.

A UE rep told me it wasn't going to be discontinued but who know if they really knew...

Both, the UM3x and the UM30 are from westone... Why would Logitech discontinue their product when another company releases a new one? Does that mean Shure will also discontinue the SE425s?

I think you guys should stop making assumptions cause you know what they say about assumptions right?

can anybody tell me how much big ue900 will be as an upgrade over gr07mk2??

i want mainly a neutral signature but won't mind more emphasis on mids.bass should not exceed gr07 and could be a tad less and i won't mind.

Well I never heard the mk2. I'm just saying for the signature they seem to be lacking slightly in the mids, though for 200 bucks they are pretty good. I'm just saying its not mid oriented at all, though bass and dynamics are pretty good. Plus you could always mod them, you can't do much better for the price.

smily_headphones1.gif

Again, a completely different company?
and Unique Melody has no product named '3x' that is a universal hybrid.
Their upcoming 3DD will have a universal variant that is a 3 way dynamic driver starting at $500.
The UM3X is a Westone product...

Either way, Back on topic!
I pulled the trigger on the UE900's as I missed the deal last time around since I hadn't done any research on their sound but they seem to fit my bill

My wallet hates all of you by the way.
