I'm at least getting 2 albums from this label from these samplers. Something I didn't think of doing with all the previous downloads was getting both 24/96 and 16/44 and doing an ABX test on FOOBAR to see if I can spot the difference in resolutions. The 16/44 albums are cheaper than the Studio versions as well

I just downloaded both files. Had to download/checkout once in hi-res 24/96 and after the download I went back and "re-bought" them in CD 16/44. I'm hoping there are some classical ones left on the freebies as it's usually easier to spot the difference for me on those than tracks with vocals or jazz.

The good thing with comparing with this than say HDtracks files vs a CD you have is that HDtracks probably has a different master than that of the CD version of an album so they can make the HDtracks sound 'warmer'. Whereas the LINN downloads probably have the same master.

FYI,

When I tried to install the Linn Download Manager on Windows 7 - 64 bit, AVAST blocked the installation as malware. I proceeded to download normally from my browser.   I don't know if it's a legitimate warning or not, but thought I'd post.

JVC HA-MR77X is available on amazon.co.uk for £33... and I just bought it a month ago for £50

In addition, use code PRICELES5 (the last letter is the number 5) to get £5 off £40 on products sold by amazon.co.uk (usual giftcard exclusions apply), excluding marketplace. Code is only valid when used with a mastercard.

Right now Emotiva is having a site-wide sale on most of their products with 15% off plus free shipping. I was able to get the XDA-2 Gen 2 DAC for $269 shipped, which I've had my eyes on for a while.

Not a headphone, but an awesome little BT portable speaker, I recently got one and it is pretty dynamic and transparent for a little portable speaker.
