How do you like yours, are they comfortable??  Sound good? I have been buying less from Amazon since they started charging sales tax in Texas.
You should make friends with ppl in neighboring LA. No sales taxes here when ordering from Amazon. Even if you're not, getting a friend to buy and reship to you will save you some cash.

Ex)
IE80 (Small items will yield better due to shipping rate) $200. Min Tx tax is 6.25 so

200 + 12.5(6.25%) tax = 212.5

OR if you get someone to buy and ship from LA...

200 + $5 = $205. :D

Yeah, but if you live in NYC, it'll end up as ~$342.

It's a nice place though, and they have the most headphones to tryout on a store I've seen so far.

You just made me want to visit NYC again. I miss that city, a lot. I used to live in Providence and have been to NYC frequently. Too bad head-fi wasn't around at that time.

You let your girlfriend control your finances?

Oh hell to the mathafraggin' no Haha What I earn is mine to spend however I please. I do my own budgeting and do not spend more than what I have in disposable cash every month after all of the bills, retirement, investments, saving, etc needs are taken care off.

It was more of a sarcastic statement.  But it does not stop her from grumbling when my new purchases are nicer/shinier than hers =P

A happy GF/wife is more important than a shiny new toy, financial control or not.  :p

Not sure if this has been mentioned here or not, but today seems to be the last day of the Audeze+Geek Pulse bundles:

I'm seriously thinking about that LCD-2 bundle...

Any comparison between On1 and ESW9 available?

Not too many direct comparisons yet. However, if you look at some of the comments/reviews made over at amazon you'll notice a few. Off hand some were the NAD Visio HP50, VModa XS, Philips Fidelio series in terms of being overall better. Make sure to read those comments however to get a better feel for the overall sound. So far from what little understanding I have. It would seem they are mostly good for classical and jazz, and a little slow with genres of metal. Not to say they wont perform well here to, but rather that the distortion on guitars comes out sounding a little thin perhaps.

Take this for what its worth though, a person who has NOT used them and has read others views of what they felt about them.

Haven't been able to find any great deals on headphones in the last couple of weeks and I was getting a little down but just received e-mail that lifted my spirits.

My Massdrop AKG K7XX have shipped.  Must be one of the first ones shipped.  I bought on 11/24 but don't believe I was one of the buyers to get a number in the first couple of hundred.
