Don't know about anyone else, but I haven't had luck with PNY cards in the past....compatibility issues (few years ago, so maybe those are past problems).

their usb sticks or flash drives still suck. SD and microSD have been good so far. I still have a new one sealed which I havent used since I am still waiting on a deal on a dslr camera (beginner) and until then, I wont be using it

Any info on this player? Anyone here ever give one a listen? How does it stack up against other DAPs?

Wow, that is cool. NIB 580s. Pretty sweet.

Although they've been superceded by the 600 and 650, the 580 is actually still a very enjoyable headphone and offers something different than their siblings.

The 580s sound more euphonic and natural. Maybe too much so to some ears. But they have a better organic flow.

When I was a hi fi salesman in Manhattan around the time the 600s came out, I described the difference to a lady who happened to be in the music industry. The 600s were brand new at the time and she was interested, but after spending some time with each, she much preferred the 580 for its arguably more musical sound and purchased a set. She returned some time later to thank me for guiding her in the right direction (for her). The 580s just sounded better to her.

But the 600/650s do have a more detailed, transparent, and tighter sound, no doubt.

So this is great. Too expensive, however. I guess you can't shop around too much for a good price on NIB discontinued cans, unfortunately.

Very cool. Love these. Only problem is the intermittent connection so many pairs developed. Of the four pair I've owned three developed this at some point.

best,
