Well from what I know, whenever something sounds more fishy than usual from there, it means that it's a low cost replica 100% of the time. The earpads for example on their 598 are cheap quality in comparison to the original but the rest is as plastic as the real thing. The sound and drivers though, you really can't expect much. If they're selling them for $25-50, I wouldn't be surprised if the production cost was like a dollar or something ridiculous. Would be interesting to hear if someone bites the bullet and reports back...

I love how there are no logos on the cups or box for the Aliexpress Senn HD 598. Ordering one now just for s**ts and gigs. I'm sure it's going to sound like straight garbage.
