Per the thread below it appears they are an official repair place for Sennheiser. Someone on Head-fi had an issue with an order once before in this thread (probably what you read). YMMV I have not ordered from them but also looked into them once before.

I contacted them and they told me to verify with Sennheiser under the name Pinnacle Solutions Services, Sennheiser say they are indeed an authorized repair and refurbish retailer, so there's that out of the way.
Now it's just deciding wether or not its worth the savings to get a refurbished item

I bought a pair of open box LCD-X from Brian last month, and he told me "open to take photos and warrant policy is the same as new" upon my inquiry on the condition. I then received the box and everything inside, all look (and smell) like brand new.
 
I bought from Razor Dog twice and will do it again. Great seller and strongly recommend.
