Really tempted to buy those, but I've come across a lot of stuff around their pads which need frequent replacement while the pads themselves cost a lot!

Once they wear out, try the Dekoni fenestrated sheepskin for a similar sound to the default pads. Or the sheepskin non-fenestrated for increased bass emphasis. And then those will last a lot longer.
