Ha, that's what I was thinking... before they started higher than $699 and ended up there after a few price cuts. I wonder if we will see these drop further? I'm not sold on this new headband. The 6se weighs a lot more than the Deva, so I am definitely curious about comfort. I've heard clamping force is pretty light too on the Deva so not sure this would be for me. Trying my best to come up with reasons not to impulse buy these!

I am a big fan of the Elex. Never had any issues with them - I bought on the first drop. However, there are reports of some QC issues. Question is always whether that represents a lot of issues, or a few but vocal buyers. I don’t doubt that there are issues for some, but for me these have been real standouts with good bass, good treble, and clear mids.
may look into the AFO-X... I have both the Aeon Flow Closed (1st edition) and the MrSpeakers x Massdrop Ether CX closed and like them both a lot.
