Plenue 2 Mkii no longer available but I pulled the trigger on the regular Plenue 2. I won't be using the balanced out so I hope that doesn't make a difference at all and I'll be using IEMs only with it. If I don't like it I'll just return it yay

Should work fine from 3.5mm SE output for IEMs. In fact, the original P2 probably wasn't 'really balanced' as the output voltage is exactly the same for either output. If you're only going to use the SE output, the only thing you're missing (og vs mk2) is the extra 128Gb internal storage.

And yes, the mk2 appears to be sold out at the Cowon Amazon store.

I find the Sony Daps, the 1A and 1Z, to both be superior to the MK2. I am constantly amazed at the quality of the music from my 1Z, the higher resolution the file the better.

just got the P2 MK2 and compared to the Sony ZX507. It's a bit more resolving, cleaner bass/lower midrange, and airier sound. I'd say soundwise it's an upgrade. Haven't gotten used to the UI yet but there are definitely some quirks I don't like, but not dealbreaker things so far. If I like this more, and can live without the streaming, I may consider that L if it's on sale or lowers in price because 4.4mm is what all my headphones and IEMs are set to and using 2.5mm is "meh" though i have cables and adapters.

What’s with all the Cowon players, even brand new ones, only claiming they accept maximum 256gb sdcards? Is this really the limit or is it just so they don’t get called out if certain higher capacity cards don’t work for some reason?

I read some comments on the cowon thread and some guys were using 400gb SD cards with no problems.

Me too in both my PII and PII mk2. I'll try my (one) 512Gb card tonight and report back -- got it to use/have been using it with Hugo2go.

Yes, I have been using a 400 Gb card for a while now— 22k tracks on it. I’ve been using that for atleast 6 months.

Just got my mk2 and booted up. Taking a look through settings and I have a few questions. Where is the option to turn on/off gapless? Or is it gapless by default? Can I turn off screen rotation anywhere, cause I don’t see it under Display settings? Lastly, you can only have that big number display for time elapsed rather than the actual minutes/seconds?

Edit: This thing sounds incredible. Also the jet effects are fun to toggle and get different feels. For fun, check out this little guy I found at my parents house a few weeks ago...
