Yep. I emailed ELAC and this is a sale price, not the new MSRP. To me that means the price will either go up, or the product will be discontinued.

They have already gone to the gen 2 on their Debut series speakers. I suspect that the same thing is happening or about to happen here.

nah , these specs usually are overrated ,,
i have the slim Uni-Fi UB5 running over Crown XLS 2002 which is rated 650w/4ohm and my volume knob is at 70-80%
these speaker need serious power to sing ..

Sincere apologies....I could not resist...as AWD was the vendor for the original HKit phones error. I have bought a lot from AWD and they have sent me more mistakes than all other vendors combined...but I have never had any problems getting a full fast refund and return shipping.

On a more serious note.

Someone Please buy this AWD 20% Pro-ject Remote Pre-amp DAC with Headphone Amp for $280 so I won't.

Go to elswappos 1st link and then key in the search criteria at the top (ie headphones). I have found some excellent deals on similar previous AWD sales. Unfortunately most items have quantities of just 1....so listing them here might result in immediate sellouts and thread follower frustration.

^ The urban legend lives! They were not Hello Kitty headphones. They were a similar colored but had a girl skateboarder--not a kitty. While they were not sent instead of an HD 800, they were sent instead of an equally valued headphone.

I popped into Bay Bloor Radio in Toronto today to audition the LCD-X/LCD-3. As it turns out, both are cheaper in store than advertised on the website (LCD-X - $2399, LCD-3 - $2699). The clerk let me know both are currently $1999CAD and that they have one NIB LCD-3 and the demo LCD-X.

There are cheaper options for the LCD-X currently, however $700 off seems like a pretty legit deal for the LCD-3.
