Just gonna say, that happened late last spring, and one time I got a (new) Audio Technica A700 instead of the AD700 I ordered in like 2009, might've heard of one other incident like that... So this is more of an exception and highly unlikely.

Have found some uber-expensive & complicated options which integrate to OEM system and basically replace IPOD USB interface but damn I could buy one of those "audiophile" modded Ipods for same cost
 
There are also some cables which convert IPOD docks to use with older Samsung phones which have the ability to pipe audio out through USB port.  Whether that could be modded to work with other devices which can out through USB and what the final quality is I have no idea.  It's a $22 cable so might I may buy just to experiment .....

Yeah, but isn't that always the case for flash storage? got my 128GB SanDisk at 69.99 around Oct 2015. Now it's 49.99.

Did we already post about this current round of Sonic Electronix Mystery Bag headphones? The two Sennheisers and the Audeze? I kinda like the allusions to what is in the picture gallery once you search out the headphone... the Audeze one was like "you'll be smiling like me!" but the pic was not what I expected, and worth a chortle.

Someone on the classifieds is offering a used ie800 for 400$ which seems to be a very nice price but he mentions nothing about the condition, so you might as well check it out,
