For lesser know Chinese headphones it is good to check the reviews in Chinese forums, if you can read. What I learned from them is that for this hadphone the design is pretty cool and quite strong build, but the sound does not exceed a headphone of that price range (60 dollars).

@kennylim I'm by no means using anywhere CLOSE to an optimal driving situation for my HD700.  I'm running one of Stoner Acoustics' cheap DACs to a Fiio E9i, so audibly I'd expect the Mojo to be quite a bit of improvement.  And no disrespect meant to SA's work or Fiio's.  It's a lovely little DAC, especially for the $40 or so I paid, as well as the amp which I got for a steal.

Greatest gain (pun intended) will probably be from amp section.  I was hugely impressed with UD120 for price point.  I bought one just out of curiosity (at the time of release it was an insanely low price for Sabre based DAC) and found it extremely enjoyable for extended if not critical listening.  People joke about the Schiit Class A amps getting hot but I didn't know a USB powered device could generate so much heat until I tried that sucker ...

RE: The Massdrop sale of Chord Mojo, one of the people from Chord posted this in the big Mojo Thread. Odd situation.

Looks like the Mojo is no longer on sale at Massdrop (the drop doesn't show up at all, instead of showing up as ended). Anyone know what happened?

It's there for me.

That's the actual page, but it doesn't show up in the Audiophile community drops (below), thought they'd pulled it. But it does show up under all drops too, so maybe the website is just being glitchy (noticed some of the drops having negative time remaining as well)

they should lower the price a little further. After the msrp fixed the drop seems not attractive anymore

Seems effective enough to have met the drop requirement for whatever the discount may be. Doesn't matter to me, personally. I'm just trying to be helpful to the people (that are) interested.

To be fair, the majority of those sold were before the correction was made (at least 4 that I'm aware of), when it was a much bigger savings on the inflated MSRP

Well, buyers always have the option to back out before the drop ends.

Back to the deals...
