Also noticed they have the HD800 for $1099 + $2 shipping. Not the best price, but a solid deal, I think. I tried scouring the product description for the actual condition of the item, but didn't see it. Does come with the standard 2-year manufacturer warranty, though. That's something to keep in mind, eh?

I'm almost (since I don't actually know what goes on with the site ) completely confident they have a variable price algorithm in place, that's the only real reason someone would do the whole 'checkout first and then see the price' thing.

They do it because it gets around rules for posting prices lower than MAP.  Lots of websites do that when the prices get too low.

Also, considering the W4S DAC-1 LE but it is not available in used, still get able at 1000 USD. But will it be worth it?
