With a handling fee right? The way i see it, people take a chance with some of the lesser known sellers so there should be some sort of additional charge for this convenience..

er, "lesser known sellers"? It was sold by Woot, which is Amazon.

Anyone join the CustomArt Harmony H8 drop on Massdrop? I wish I had the money, though I wonder how smoothly the custom process will go. Hopefully good for all parties so some more CIEM deals happen!

Not quite... it's a subsidiary of Amazon yes, but they're entirely independent. Woot's return policy and customer service is nothing like Amazon's.

Woot is now the Worst of both worlds. In the day it was quirky but varied but real deals. Now owned by Amazon it was multiple deals a day which are frequently not deals at all. You pay a flat shipping and can't return things unless clearly defective vs prime with free shipping and low hassle returns. I am sure this is why it gets so little little play on this forum.

Pretty sure these are a re-branding of something else, but not sure.

For $20 (with free shipping) it seems like it might be worth a shot though.

It looks like a Tascam MX2, though the driver size and specs don't quite match up.

I remember seeing another similar housing like that on something but can't remember the make or model.

Yeah, that must be it.  Maybe the same body with larger drivers?

I'm tempted to just give them a try.

Apparently, I still have my CCC price alert set on the HiFiMan HE500... there is a "Used - Very Good" pair on Amazon Warehouse Deals for $399 today. Though it's discontinued now, it's still one of the absolute best of all time when it comes bang-for-the-buck value, and it's a modder's delight. Mine still gets a ton of head time, even with a Stax and HD800 sitting right next to it.
