I am getting the  following Hifi-m8.

1).Will the above plug be ok for it?
2).Would it be easy enough for me wire up my headphones.
3).Would I need a soldering iron kit?
4). Is there any way to purchase a plug as above that is merely a 3.5 or 1/4 adapter, or does that defeat the purpose?
 
Maybe this could be posted in the cables section, but it connected with my pre-order and hey ...gives us something to do whilst we wait.

You wont get the benefit of a balanced amp with an adaptor (and you could end up harming the amp). You need to re-terminate your headphones for it.

Does anyone know the pin outs of the 4pin XLR connectors? 
 
I'm in the process of cabling my Grados & making tails for XLR-1/4" connectors, want to get my L/R around the right way for the M8 when it arrives...

Just about any cable manufacturer can make you one.  Very simple to DIY if you have the tools as well.

Congratulations - I am very excited that we are "close," it is starting to look like the light at the end of the tunnel may not be a train after all!
 
A question for Michael / Centrance - Will the 1/8" and 1/4" single ended jacks on the 4 pin XLR version be wired to the same amp section(s), or will they each be to a different set of the internal amps.  In other words, if I have a headphone plugged into each of the single ended jacks, will they each be running from separate amp circuits, or from the same circuit.  To put it another way, will it be like two headphones each plugged into a separate  SE amp, but in one case, or like two headphones plugged into one SE amp?  Man, I re-read this, and it still doesn't seem clear.
 
I believe the 1/4" TRS jacks on the 3 pin combos each go to their own amp section?  Do the 1/4 and 1/8 on the 4 pin XLR version also go to separate amp sections... I hope this makes sense to someone at Centrance...

I think that is what has been the consensus in this thread. I'm doing the 4-XLR and 1/8~1/4 se combo.
