And now the price has just gone up again to just under $1000 with shipping (that was originally suggested to be a third of what is now being quoted). I'm really not convinced that the bluetooth capability is now worth almost $1000 when compared to the already excellent FiiO Q5s at a fraction of the price. I'm well and truly out.

Hi, now that production units are being shipped, are the final set of measurements/specifications now released?

High gain and low gain headphone power output and THD+N measurements?

Into 8ohms, 16ohms, 32ohms, 300ohms, 600ohms please ?
Exactly. I don't understand how they expect to sell this without confirming specs. Seems nutty.

yeah, and on the Centrance website for ordering, there’s no longer any mention of added cost or option for Bluetooth, just a mention that Bluetooth is part of the features for the unit. Which leads to the question of whether BT is not just an automatic feature now.
I heard from Centrance that the very few people who ordered without Bluetooth are being asked to pay the extra $50.

I really do not care how long it takes, I will wait. I am going to get the XD-05 Balanced announced yesterday to hold me over

Any link to such announcement ?

Thank you..
I already own the XD05+ ... I am missing some instant power with the heddphone for "walking around in my home", so I was expecting the balanced version would give some more power, which doesn't seem to be the case (still 1W) if I read your facebook link comments.

At this stage, I still expect Centrance M8V2 to provide a bit more than 1W at 32ohms (1.4W ?) but I am mainly still hoping a high peak voltage available on the XLR4 output of more than 12/14V, which should be "perfect" to move fully the heddphone.

If you want sheer power in a portable format, I'd recommend the LessFox BX2 Plus.

What headphones are you trying to drive?

It can be a way to go... but, I think, I will miss a DAC function (to used with my Notebook or my Galaxy Z Fold 2) via USB-C or BT5.0 in LDAC like I have with the XD05+ or I should get with the CentranceM8V2.. I ordered the Centrance M8V2 with the bluetooth option (which seems to be included in the standard version now)

Heddphone by Hedd ... they can be really power angry in some case, I can compare when I use a 6W monolith THX887 compared with my actual 2 (1W and 2W) portable amps. Even these last weeks, I use some direct connection to a spare speaker's amp TA-N55ES I own which I of course limit the power with the integrated adjustable attenuator, but it gives me some real margin with some DSD and still every thing "clear" and impactful.
The 1 watt of the Xduoo XD-05+ are working fine with a lot of my files, but from time to time, I am missing some impact and clarity in low frequencies I get with powerful amps.

I started this thread a year and a couple months ago, and now it’s here! I haven’t fired it up yet.

I thought you might like to see accessories in addition to the pouch and USB-C cable. I didn’t pay enough attention to notice that buttons are recessed so you need to use a tool to flip them, but one is included. Also, a compact USB-A to USB-C adapter is there and some rubber feet.
