Had a photo session and a short music session, really like the sound of SR7000. Sound way more open than what I'm used to from closed backs.

Great picture, and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one 👍

It is easy enough to drive so you can use your DAP and Dongle and get good sound, it also scales if you give it more power from desktop gear. Good build quality, and okay stock cables (balanced 4.4 and 3.5mm) also a nice storage case. Very good comfort and not heavy, nice depth with angled driver (personal problem of ears touching the driver enclosure on most headphones).

The tuning is neutral warm, very balanced without being peaky or offensive. If anything a little safe up top, but still good extension to sound clear and open. Bass is punchy and goes deep, no bleed that muddy up the midrange. This is perhaps the most balanced closed back I have used, while also having enough warmth to be enjoyable. Maybe the most impressive is the soundstage, much more open like open back headphones.

Some interesting differences in pricing on the Aune SR7000

Currently $300 cheaper on Amazon compared to HiFiGo

Cheapest I saw on Ali Express was $789.49 and that was showing a 20% discount.

Not sure it will pay to wait for the 11/11 sales on the Sr7000, with Amazon’s current pricing.

So I did order a set today, have been very happy with my Aune AR5000, and Aune S17 pro hp amp. Both are tremendous performers and very reasonably priced.

The SR7000 may indeed be priced differently in various countries and regions due to differences in local tax rates, and distributors in different areas may also set their own pricing. However, in our own store on Amazon, the pricing is set by us. We appreciate your love for our products. In fact, during the tuning process for the SR7000, we specifically took the S17 into account. Personally, I really like the sound of this combination. :)

Right, but Aune SR7000 at usd599 is crazy expensive for it, don't work for me if the bass is so bad and light as AR5000, AR5000 has wonderful mids, treble and soundstage
In terms of design specifications, the SR7000 has a bit more bass than the AR5000. However, due to the inherent differences between closed-back and open-back designs, the effect on bass is also different. Personally, when listening, the bass quantity between the two headphones feels about the same to me.

Gotta give these a try at some point, would be interesting to hear if they are a meaningful upgrade over the Fiio FT1, to my ears.... 🤔
Often, headphones at different price points have varying sound quality, but ultimately, the best choice is the one you personally enjoy the most.:)

We've been told that the best soundstaging comes from open headphones, and there's good physics to explain the phenomenon. But the SR7000 is one of those that give the lie to that myth. We expect "airiness" to come more easily from open phones, and that may well be true. But we're learning that there is such a thing as trusting that kind of mythology too much. If you can avoid that kind of expectation, the SR7000 may surprise you. It seems that headphone designers have overcome the limitations of closed designs. We need to hear from the popular reviewers -- GadgetryTech, Resolve, Wave Theory, Ichos, Headphone Experience, Soundnews, Audiophile Heaven, DMS, Passion for Sound, among others -- about the SR7000. But, please, venerable reviewers, drop the mythology according to which closed phones must be worse than open phones as regards soundstaging, imaging, airiness, all the out-of-head qualities. We need open minds about closed phones!

@Leonarfd or any other member who owns the SR7000, could you please measure the inner hole of the SR 7000 pads?

How do you find the overall comfort of these headphones? how much they clamp?

Thanks.

Can measure when I'm home, size wise it's maybe similar to Utopia.

As for clamp force, I have a little large head and find it to have not much clamp force. Just a light clamp, enough to get perfect seal and not feel like they move around when walking.

Thanks, and how is the clamp from the ear pads? What is the material of the pads?

I assume its pleather, they are very soft and comfy.

The size of the opening is around 65mm high and 47mm wide. The driver is angled, depth is 15mm in front and 30mm in the back.
My guess it should work well for most folks, I could have wished for a little thicker pads. But when I position my ear more in the back of the cup I dont touch the driver enclosure.

I'd rather have these on build quality alone, but $270 isn't chump change.
