Right, but Aune SR7000 at usd599 is crazy expensive for it, don't work for me if the bass is so bad and light as AR5000, AR5000 has wonderful mids, treble and soundstage
Wouldn't say the price of SR7000 is bad, from photos and impressions from Munich this sounds like a good price
Price often depends on many factors, we can have good headphones from both cheap sets up to extremely expensive flagships. You can get good sounding headphones cheap, but often they sacrifice build quality or accessories(not always ofc). And the more you spend you often get incremental upgrades.

My SR7000 arrives next week, going to make a written review here on Head-Fi. I am more used to open headphones from Verite, HD800s, T1G2 and Utopia, so only open back models and sold both Utopia and HD800s. I might see if I can loan a AR5000 to use as comparison.

I think the problem is most brands come out with their more expensive headphone, then figure out where they can cut corners to make a budget version. We already know and love what Aune was able to do for the price with the AR5000, so it's a hard pill to swallow with the SR7000 to double the price to (in my opinion) not come close to doubling the sound quality, but like I've mentioned, probably not the intention.

I think Aune gave a good answer to why the AR7000 is a lot more than the AR5000 on the previous page. There is more to developing a headphone than just material costs, and just because they were able to make the AR5000 for a fantastic price, doesn't mean that they can automatically do that again with another design.

Absolutely this! It uses what seems to be a brand new driver, internals and to be fair, closed backs are very difficult to get to sound good. Once it lands in the UK, I will definitely be interested in picking one up.
I know it can be frustrating to see something similar to the open back be more expensive, but it looks to be very well made.

Too expensive for a brand that wants enter to market , Sony, Sennheiser, Meze, Beyer, Hifiman, etc has better headphones at lower cost, so Aune’s engineers and marketing people are wrong , let’s see when price start to down to sell more units

Interesting! Have you actually heard it despite it not being in the hands of many people yet?

No yet but I sold my AR5000 because of bass light only, at usd300 is an ok price. So the 7000 as many reviewers said is same bass quantity, no way for a closed back headphone so why buy a headphone that is similar to the open version ????? and pay use 300 more for it???

I really don't think it is fair to comment on a product being too expensive, when you haven't heard it yourself.
I also think it is pretty common that you need to pay more for a good sounding closed headphone, than an open one, because they are harder to develop. Which Aune already has explained.
It is fair enough that you have your own opinion about stuff, but stating things like "Aune’s engineers and marketing people are wrong" when you haven't even heard the product, seems odd and a bit condescending to me, if I'm being honest.

I have listened them on my local audio community meet, i can confirm that they are bass light too, definitely same ammount like AR5000 or maybe slightly less, but most of people seemed like the tuning, but i believed i can assure if you dont like AR5000 bcoz of the bass quantity then you will not like this too, dont blind buy, listen them first

I can tell that the taste just difference, which translate not many diversity taste here, in my country here in Indonesia, many serious audiophille seemed to hate bass quantity headphone, no wonder AR5000 already selling like hot cake here, AR7000 probably will too but i doubt many community here prefer this over iem with the price suggested but thats people to decide how many will try to pick this over spending to iem instead....

Technically they are not bad and have some strength but this not for bass head or someone wants thundering punching bass imo

The main issue with Aune is that they seem to don't own measure tools in their office :relieved: (I mean to quickly measure the inner hole of the pads for us we request it)...

Either people are not getting a good seal or they’re comparing based off memory. The SR7000 is bassier than the AR5000 - both in the midbass as well as in the subbass.
Sure if you’re expecting Beats-bass quantities like the TH900 or most wireless anc models, you’re definitely barking up the wrong tree here.
This is more for folks who like the K371, E3, Stealth or similar Harman Target bass deliveries.

Interesting. I really didn’t feel like the bass was that much of a difference, but I did notice that dip at 4-6k like his measurements indicate. Hopefully his review is coming soon, always enjoy his stuff.
