I use them with the Zana Deux sometimes and other with the v200. The other day I took the feed right out of a chord hugo and that was even great.

  I'm using the L505u (champagne gold). Got the Primare DAC30 in balanced mode feeding it.
It produces wonderful music, I can't complain. Its a no nonsense setup that does not sugar coat anything for the most part, so, for thin sounding or badly produced albums, sometimes I prefer to use the w10vtg(modified) as it tends to sound more forgiving. 
 
The vintage Luxman stuff are gorgeous though. Would love to get one of the Luxman tube amps, but prefer the simplicity of solid state. Luckily the l505u does not sound harsh/digital/whateveryouwannacallit in any way. Its on the (almost) sweet side of neutral. Love the L505u, the control and power it has is just lovely. If I ever upgrade my amp, I'll stick with Luxman and move further up the ladder. Love it.

Yeah I have the L507U. What a great amp.

Yup. I wonder how the luxman class a l590xxx amps sound. Maybe I shud get one of those somewhere down the line and try with the w3000anv. Hehehehe...

the w3000anv is the can i use least but always enjoy it whenever i do. anyways i've been listening to some stuff with the w3000anv that i would expect to prefer with the th900 but it hasn't turned out that way which has been a nice surprise.

Same.  It would never replace the SR-009 or HD800, but neither of those two do what the W3000ANV do to vocal, primarily female vocals. It's purely majestic, ethereal.
 
It's also underrated as an all-rounder.  I've heard most of the flagships on loans for extended periods in my system (save the HE-6), and I prefer them as an all rounder to all but the SR-007/SR-009/HD800.  It's without question the best closed full size can available for not crazy money (looking at you, R10 and 4070), IMO.

I can only agree with the opinions here, I sorely miss my W3000s. But soon I will have a pair again. I can hardly wait.

I guess to try the HD800. 
There's nothing wrong with the W3000 and a low priced op amp headphone amp.
The DAC is a pretty important factor though.

The Fostex HP-P1 dac/amp was a really nice combination with the W3000. A little marvel that thing! Did a pretty nice job with my D7000, LA7000s and AH-A100 as well. All pretty easy to drive phones that seemed to scale well with better amps but the HP-P1 delivered a rich, smooth sound on all of them. I wonder how it would do with the TH-900.

This is my first post here in head-fi, hello all AT-W3000anv current/previous owners! I bought ATs, because I needed closed headphones to listen to music at work. I wanted headphones that are not too analytical or fatiguing, W3000anv was a great choice! Really musical and makes me want to listen to music all the time. I also own HE-560. These cans have very different sound signature and I enjoy both of them. I use burson conductor at home with W3000anv, ifi idsd micro at work and they both sound very good with W3000anv. Little dot mkiii and W300anv are... interesting combination, clearly colored and emphasis on lows and mids, not for all kinds of music... but some songs are like warm toffee poured to your ears
